International Women’s Day

Danish Cultural Institute Turkey invites you to the theatre for free on 8th of March on the International Women’s Day!

A WOMAN AWAKENS

The theater follows Alev, a 45-year old widowed, working, mother of two children as she reveals what she hid in the dowry chest from age 15 to 45. She tells about her youth, her marriage, her divorce, her re-established life and her trial with fire. Until today, she has only told her story to women, but now she tells everyone, both men and women. A Woman Awakens … and asks: How many times does one wake up in life?
